FoxShow #60 features an interview with Ken Levy recorded on the second day of Southwest Fox 2008.

We talked about a number of things including what he's been doing since he left Microsoft, the new CodeCast podcast that he is doing with EPS, APPScanX - a new VFP tool for helping to scan projects and code for specific elements and what he feels his contribution has been to the FoxPro community.

Enjoy!

From Southwest Fox 2008 in Mesa Arizona, here is the audio from my Profiling and Refactoring session. In it, we discuss what refactoring is and what it isn't and how the VFPX Code Analyst helps make refactoring easier in Visual FoxPro. We also discuss how to best use the Log file generated from the VFP Coverage Profiler.

Here's another "discussion" from Southwest Fox, all about how developers get the most out of their day and, er, shower. Discussion with Cathy Pountney, Mike Yeager, Alan Stevens, Art Bertquist, Andrew MacNeill and others. Enjoy.

I didn't want to do a full show on this little interview but wanted to put it into the stream because I think it's really valuable for developers to hear. It's a discussion Alan Stevens and I had one morning at Southwest Fox 2008. It was held after his talk on Agile and I had some specific questions we wanted to get into. There is some background noise as we were talking outside at the breakfast table. If you've never heard Alan speak, this is a great way of getting a feel for his sessions. Enjoy!

At SWFox, there are a number of great sessions going on, most of which have the "please do not record or tape" - however, some, like this one, were open for all and everyone was told "you are on the Internet".

This show is the entirety of the VFPX Meeting session - a session hosted by Craig Boyd, Bo Durban, Rick Schummer and myself about how the community can get better involved with VFPX itself and some other suggestions at the type of things the community wants to see.

Audio is a conference room is tough - but I've tried to increase it where needed so you can hear the people in the back row.

Enjoy

This episode features an interview with Tamar Granor, Doug Hennig and Rick Schummer about their plans for Southwest Fox, the FoxPro developer conference coming up in October, 2008 in Mesa Arizona.

Hear about the great prizes, sessions and what went into the planning of this year's conference. As discussed in the interview, here is a link to Tamar's blog post about how she builds the schedule.

Also, I mentioned Jing - a handy (and free!) little tool from Techsmith for screen captures and screen casting (in Flash!).

Enjoy!

Here's the show notes - brief, I know but I wanted to keep that interview intact.

SCCTextX and Code Analyst 1.0Alpha is available on VFPX.

Get Guineu from Foxpert!

What is Guineu? In the words of Christof, it's a FoxPro runtime that doesn't require FoxPro - in short, on other platforms where you can't run FoxPro today.
